Friends are stepping up to help the family of Brian Herrera after the teen’s tragic death in a car crash near Oswego earlier this week.
Herrera, a Plainfield resident and former District 202 student, died Monday in an accident that also claimed the lives of his friends Tyler Montgomery and Alexis Banuelos.
To help his family with funeral and burial expenses, friend Julie Husch said a fund has been set up at Chase bank in the 19-year-old Herrera’s name.
Donations can be made to the Brian Herrera Memorial Fund at any area Chase branch. Contributions can also be left under the name of Brian’s father, Armando Herrera.
Herrera worked at Bob Evans and Abercrombie & Fitch.
