Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a 7-year-old female domestic shorthair. She was surrendered due to someone in her previous home having allergies. She is friendly, low maintenance and good with cats and kids that are a little older. She may even enjoy living with a canine friend. She loves her toys and being petted on her head and back. If you are looking for a perfect companion to fit right in, Pumpkin just might be the girl for you!
Blondie
Blondie is a 2-year-old female Yorkshire Terrier mix. She was a transfer from another shelter due to lack of space. She can be shy and would need a quiet home that will help her blossom and show her how to enjoy life. She would be good with another gentle, playful dog and even a cat or two. Kids would need to be at least 8 years of age. If Blondie sounds like a perfect match for your home, stop by soon!
More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Harley
Age: 5 years old
Breed: Labrador retriever/Chow mix
Background: Harley was returned to A.D.O.P.T. because his owners had no time to care for him. He has been at the shelter since February 2012.
Personality: Harley doesn’t understand why his owners bought him back to the shelter. He is a friendly and playful dog. He knows how to sit and trains easily. Harley is a great walker. In his previous home, Harley lived with young children. He would do best as the only dog in the household. Help Harley find his forever home.

Hardee
Age: 2 years old
Breed: Black domestic short hair – male
Background: Transfer from a Sandwich vet – at A.D.O.P.T. since Feb. 25.
Personality: Hardee may walk a bit funny – but he gets around just fine. He saw a specialist a few weeks ago and it was confirmed he has a torn Achilles tendon on his back leg. However the specialist determined, since he is NOT in pain and is not having difficulty walking, we would leave the tendon as is and not repair it. He is sweet and gets along with other cats and might get along with a quiet dog. Come visit Hardee – he can be found in the Annex - what a love bug!
