Slashing scare
A 68-year-old man in the 400 block of Knoch Knolls Road reported that someone left a threatening note on his vehicle overnight, police said. Whoever wrote the note threatened to slash the man’s tires.
Forgetting the Golden Rule
Police said a 75-year-old woman in the 700 block of Aurora Avenue reported her checkbook was stolen from her purse when she went up to communion at Mass on Sunday.
Anything but sweet
A 35-year-old woman reported someone poured sugar into the gas tank of her vehicle in the 1500 block of Lighthouse Drive on Saturday, police said.
Dine and Flash
A driver stopped Wednesday afternoon and charged with lewd exposure told Naperville police he was just "readjusting" himself, according to reports.
Jemar R. Wesley, 33, of the 100 block of School Street, was arrested at 3:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Ogden Avenue after police said he was seen masturbating when he entered a restaurant drive-thru.
When officers stopped him, Wesley said he was “readjusting himself and his penis came out,” according to police reports.
He was arrested and also found to have cannabis with him, according to reports. Police said he was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, public indecency/lewd exposure, and driving on a suspended/revoked license.
His bail was $1,500.
Speeding in the name of love
A Naperville man caught driving 111 mph last Saturday morning also had cannabis in his possession at the time of his arrest, according to Naperville police.
Zachary Pierce Ramirez, 21, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. Saturday at Oswego and River roads, police reports said.
Ramirez was caught driving 111 mph in a 45-mph zone, according to reports.
A story in the Daily Herald on April 27 said Ramirez was in a hurry because he was hoping to have sex with a girl he liked. He was driving about 104 mph near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve and another speed check determined he was going 111 mph.
Ramirez was charged with reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, disobeying a traffic signal, possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, and speeding more than 30 miles over the limit.
His bail was $2,000.
