“This event is an opportunity for interested residents and community leaders to hear an overview of what we accomplished in 2012 and what our goals are for 2013,” said Board President Kirsten Young in a release.

The “State of the Park District” address allows the Park District to communicate both formally and informally with the community. In 2012, the district conducted a Community Interest and Opinion Survey and held several public outreach events including park openings and open house meetings to discuss capital projects and the 2012 Master Plan.

Attendees at the State of the Park District address will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a 2013 Centennial Beach season membership or a round of golf for two at either Springbrook or Naperbrook golf courses.

To help plan for refreshments, the Park District asks those who wish to attend to RSVP via e-mail torsvp@napervilleparks.org by Thursday, Feb. 7.

The Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center is located at 305 W. Jackson Ave. between Mill St. and Eagle St. Community Hall is on the second floor, with parking on the north side of the building.
