Mom Treshia Bullock said her daughter, Taylor Bullock, and friends Annie Schaafsma and Wes Higgenbotham filmed the episode over the summer. The show airs at 5 p.m. Central time on Thursday, Jan. 24.
The reality show follows guest stars as they reveal their less-than-platonic feelings for a pal — and films the "crushees'" reactions to see if the feelings are mutual. From the show's website:
Long-standing friendships will be tested as individuals try to navigate their way from best-friendship to relationship. What happens when you ask your best friend to help you prepare for an upcoming blind date... only to later reveal that the date is actually intended for the two of you! Will the feelings be mutual... or will your friendship be ruined forever?
According to Bullock, Schaafsma and Higgenbotham are the will-they-or-won't-they couple, while Taylor Bullock is featured in the episode as a friend of the would-be duo.
"[Taylor] is just like a sidekick through the whole thing," Bullock said.
Taylor Bullock and pal Schaafsma are Plainfield North High School graduates, while Higgenbotham is an alum of Plainfield Central.
Plainfield-area viewers can see some familiar scenery when the episode airs on Thursday.
"A lot of it was filmed here in Plainfield," Bullock said, including footage shot last August right in her own backyard. Other scenes were shot along Naperville's Riverwalk and at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria.
"Friendzone," now in its third season, airs weekdays on MTV.
