This winter photo was taken by Naperville Editor Collin Czarnecki near Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

While Naperville hasn't seen a substantial snowfall this winter, we all know it's inevitable that we will. And once the fluffy stuff starts to fall, it creates a landscape that is prime for beautiful pictures.

For tips on how to capture that stunning scenery, Bill Jacobs Volkswagen in Naperville recently reached out to local photographers.

Experts at Naperville's Firefly Nights Photography said it's important to appreciate the landscape, especially during the winter.

"If you go with bold colors, you focus on the clothes, and not the people," they told Bill Jacobs Volkswagen Blog. "Also remember that when there is snow on the ground, it acts as a reflector, bouncing light back up, giving you more light than you would have in other seasons."

Other tips include; exaggeriting the scale of your subject, accentuating the season, keeping it simple, finding a genuine moment and to always be ready for that perfect shot.
