From working on the Naperville Riverwalk extension last summer to supervising children's games and activities, it's clear that no project or task is too big or small for Naperville Park District volunteer Isaac Heine.

He has been described as a hard-worker and also having a great sense of humor - putting smiles on faces during the summer at the park district. Isaac has helped out in many different ways at the park district including volunteering at the Nike Park grand opening last year as well as for the district's preschool program.

On behalf of the Naperville Park District, Volunteer Coordinator Lynnette Hoole nominated Isaac for a Naperville Youth Service Award.

Every year, KidsMatter together with Mayor Pradel and the Naperville City Council, give out the Naperville Youth Service Awards to deserving teen volunteers during a special ceremony.

Braving the heat, during the month of August last year Isaac would come before operating hours and pick up litter at Centennial Beach, assist coaches during soccer meetings, haul equipment and even stay late until the job got done.

Due to his dedication and reliability as a volunteer with the park district, the beach staff welcomed Isaac back with open arms to have him back in the future.
