Harley
Harley is a 5-year-old female domestic longhair. Unfortunately, Harley was not totally comfortable in her previous home and needed to be surrendered. She can be shy around strangers, but once she gets to know you, is a very loving and playful cat. She would probably do best in a quiet home with not a lot of activity and someone who has the time to keep her beautiful, long hair perfectly groomed and her litter box clean. She is good with some kitty companions, but is not familiar with sharing a home with a dog. Harley has also been known to play a little fetch from time to time. Stop by to meet her. She is a beauty!
MacKenzie
MacKenzie is an 8-year-old female miniature Pinscher mix breed. She was surrendered due to her previous owner not having enough time to care for her. MacKenzie has lived with another dog and would probably do well living with cats. She can be a bit nervous and shy, so a home on the quiet side and kids that are at least 8 years of age would be best for her. She is not much for playing with toys, but a nice bed or lap to cuddle on would be wonderful. Could you be the right home for MacKenzie? You won’t know unless you stop by to meet her!
More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursday, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit us at 1620 W. Windy
Age: 8 years old
Breed: Shar Pei mix
Background: Windy was brought to A.D.O.P.T. from Aurora Animal Control. Upon her arrival tumors were discovered on her stomach. A.D.O.P.T. removed the tumors and Windy has been at A.D.O.P.T. since January 27.
Personality: Poor Windy doesn’t understand why she is at the shelter and why nobody has looked at her. She has a calm temperament and is very sweet. Windy loves attention and will roll on her back for belly rubs. She also knows the commands sit and stay. She enjoys walks and it always ready to take a stroll.

Grace
Age: 3 Years Old
Breed: Domestic short hair - brown tabby
Background: Owner give up - with babies - at A.D.O.P.T. since January 2011.
Personality: When Grace came to adopt with her babies (all were adopted) she thought her world had come to an end. It was very stressful for her in that she was an only cat before her owner could not care for her and her babies. She is choosey about her feline friends - but gets along with some. She LOVES people and attention and has a lot of play left in her. Come meet her in the Sun Room and see if you can connect.
