Crews work on the home at 3404 Alyssa St. in Plano on April 11, 2012.

A Naperville Family and other locals are mobilizing forces throughout the area to come to the aid of a Plano family whose home was destroyed by fire Wednesday.

The Langkan family, who are the owners of Storm Dance Alliance studio in Oswego, have been displaced from their home after fire ripped through the two-story structure in the Lakewood Springs subdivision.

A care fund has been established to aid the Langkan family through Wheatland Salem Church in Oswego and is being organized by the Greeno family of Naperville. All donations, which are tax-deductible, will go directly to the Langkan family, allowing them to use the money as needed.

It is being requested that all money be donated through this fund in order to create an efficiency in the fundraising efforts.

Checks should be made payable to Wheatland Salem Church (Langkan Family Care Fund in memo section). Checks should be dropped off at the Storm Dance studio, 2062 Mitchell Drive, Oswego, or mailed to the Greeno Family, 3003 Kingbird Court, Naperville, IL 60564.

Neighbors in the Lakewood Spring subdivision also are collecting clothes for the family, which can be dropped off at the subdivision’s south clubhouse. Women's size 4, men's size 32, girl's size 10 and boy's size 12 are needed.

The fire started shortly after noon Wednesday. When Little Rox Fox fire crews arrived on the scene, they confirmed all occupants and pets had been evacuated from the home and the neighboring home, fire officials said.
