The National Weather Service-Chicago has issued a Special Weather Statement and a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the west suburbs.

The hazardous weather outlook was issued Tuesday and warns of "wind gusts up to 45-50 mph this afternoon."

The winds are south to southwest, and will come up quickly this morning across Northern Illinois. Sustained winds will of 30 mph are expected Tuesday afternoon afternoon. The 40 mph wind gusts "could make traveling in high-profile vehicles difficult, especially on east-west oriented roads."

The gusts are supposed to subside a bit this evening but be back again Wednesday. The good news Wednesday is the high temperature is slated to get up to 62 degrees.

The National Weather Service says gusts of 45 to 50 mph are expected.

There is a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night, generally south of I-88, the Weather Service said.
