Happy Monday Naperville! What a great day it is. Today I want to share with you some great news. Naperville Patch is welcoming a new addition to the team, Collin Czarnecki.
Collin begins his tenure at Naperville Patch today as an associate local editor, working along with me to provide news and community coverage of Naperville.
I will let Collin introduce himself to you:
“Hey Naperville! I'm very excited to be joining Mary Ann at Naperville Patch to bring you news, information and engaging content. I've only been living here for a few weeks, but I'm already realizing how much this city has to offer. While new to the community, I'm no stranger to Patch as I've been a guest editor for Morton Grove and freelanced since 2010. I was born and raised in Lake Zurich, but spent time in Colorado for school and Florida for work as beat reporter for a weekly print publication. I'm eager to learn more about the community and meet new faces. So, if you see me around town, please feel free to say ‘hello!’”
An interesting little factoid is that both Collin and I received our journalism educations in Colorado, me at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Collin at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Another thing we have in common is our love of community journalism.
Naperville is the largest community anywhere in the country with a Patch site and because of the sheer size of the city, we will have two editors working to provide you with the information, stories and engaging content you seek related to all things Naperville.
With the addition of Collin to the team, we are excited to build an even greater presence in Naperville and engage you, the reader, in your community.
If you have story ideas, questions or concerns you can contact me, Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez at maryl@patch.com or Associate Local Editor Collin Czarnecki at collin.czarnecki@patch.com.
