A Naperville man was charged with felony drug possession Jan. 27 after officers found cocaine hidden inside a pack of cigarettes in his car, Darien police said.
Officers originally pulled over Anthony J. Renella, 41, of the first block of South Wild Cherry Lane, in connection with driving with an expired license plate near 75th Street and Fairview Avenue around 7 p.m., according to the report.
When officers searched the car, they found the pack of cigarettes containing the cocaine, the report said.
Renella was also charged with driving without registration and on a suspended license. He was taken to DuPage County Jail, from which he has since been released on bond.
