Monday, Feb. 6

Retail theft

Fabian Trejo, 28, of the 200 block of North Smith Street in Aurora, was arrested at 2:08 p.m. at Home Depot, 2920 Audrey Ave., Naperville police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bond was $120. Police said he placed a spool of copper wiring valued at $105 into the front of his pants and attempted to leave the store without paying. 

Possession

Aleksey Lovelace, 18, of the 1300 block of Murdstone Drive, was arrested at 9:34 a.m. in the 800 block of North Mill Street, police said. He was charged with criminal trespass to land and possession of cannabis.

Warrant arrest

  • David Richard Mlady, 49, of the 100 block of South River Road, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. at his home, police said. He was charged on an original warrant. His bond was $100.
  • Johnny Leshawn Powell, 19, of the 300 block of West Ogden Avenue, was arrested at midnight in the 600 block of North Eagle Street, police said. He was charged with consumption of liquor by a minor and on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Ignacio Guerra-Camarillo, 35, of the 2900 block of Wellington Avenue in Lisle, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. in the 400 block of North River Road and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged on a warrant and also charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500. 

Suspended license

Jose Alfredo Oquendo, 37, of the 1400 block of North Eagle Street, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Ogden and Aurora avenues, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and driving without insurance. His bail was $2,000.

Theft

A 30-year-old woman reported two employee purses were stolen from a storage room in the 1800 block of Freedom Drive between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.

Vehicle burglary

  • A resident reported a vehicle was burglarized in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive between Dec. 19 and Monday. The report didn't say what was stolen.
  • A 54-year-old man reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of Hyde Park Lane overnight, police said. Nothing was taken.

Attempted burglary

Someone in the 1200 block of Royal Saint George Drive reported that between Friday and Monday someone tried to enter a maintenance garage by removing the knob and attempting to pry a door open, police said.
