Driving under the influence

  • Laura Jacqueline Grimes-Pinckard, 40, of the 1300 block of Kallien Court, was arrested at 12:36 a.m. in the 100 block of South Brainard Street and East Jefferson Avenue, Naperville Police said. She was driving an SUV and struck a tree, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign. Her bond was $100.
  • Goran Gmitrovic, 22, of the 400 Inverrary Lane in Deerfield was arrested at 1:15 a.m. at LaSalle Avenue and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and no rear license plate light. His bond was $100. 

Warrant arrest

Steven Poulos, 31, of the 30 block of West 66th Street in Westmont, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, police said. He was charged on an original warrant for obstructing justice, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Huffing

Michael Allyn Beese, 23, of the 1000 block of East Hillside Road, was arrested at 7:04 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Route 59 and 95th Street, police said. He was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal, a traffic control violation and unlawful use of intoxicating compounds. Police said Beese was found huffing canned air. His bail was $1,500.

Failing to register a vehicle

Garry M. Lewis, 53, of the 200 block of Mondovi Drive in Oswego was arrested at 11:42 p.m. at North Route 59 and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with failing to secure registration of a vehicle and title/registration offenses, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Theft

  • A 45-year-old man in the 2400 block of Barkdoll Road reported that between Dec. 4 and Thursday someone stole Christmas decorations valued at $150, police said.
  • A 12-year-old girl in the 200 block of North Washington Street reported that someone took her boots, which were left under a bench in a locker room.
  • A 37-year-old woman reported that her daughter left her iPod Touch in an unlocked gym locker while in gym class and it was gone when she returned, police said.

Burglary

A 39-year-old woman in the 1600 block of Westminster Drive reported that the front door to her apartment was forced open and items were taken, police said.
