A flash flood warning and flood watch have been issued for the Naperville area until early Wednesday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms capable of producing more than two inches of rain per hour are likely to continue throughout Wednesday morning, according to the Natinal Weather Service.
The flash flood watch is set to expire at 10 a.m. A flash flood watch means that conditions "may develop that lead to flash flooding," according to the National Weather Service.
On Tuesday night, thunderstorms produced one to two inches of rain in less than 45 minutes, according to the National Weather Service.
Rainfall amounts between one to two inches and wind gusts as high as 15 mph are possible in Naperville into Wednesday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue throughout the morning until the weather clears Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
