An apartment balcony at the Amli Apartment complex, located near Corday Drive and Emerson Lane, caught fire Saturday but was quickly extinguished. Nobody was home at the time.
Firefighters responded to the fire call at the apartment at about 12:07 p.m. Several crews, trucks and police responded to the call.
The fire was contained to the balcony, said Naperville Fire Department Capt. Dave Ferreri. The resident was not home at the time of the fire. The apartment where the balcony fire occurred was not damaged and neighboring apartments were undamaged.
The cause of the fire was unknown, Ferreri said. The estimated cost of damage was a few thousand dollars, he said.
