Chihuli is sometimes shy in new situations but once he warms up, he's playful and affectionate.

Chihuli, a 1-year-old brown and white tabby, found himself stray around the holiday season and was transferred to NAHS after no one claimed him at animal control.  He's sometimes shy in new situations but once he warms up, he's playful and affectionate.  He might do best with older children who will let him play on his terms.  Stop by soon to meet this handsome and sweet cat!

Izzy is a 5-year-old Beagle/bulldog mix.  He can be a little bit nervous in new situations but will adjust quickly to his new home once he has some TLC.  He prefers hanging out with people to playing with toys and would do best in a home with children who at least 12 years old.  He may be okay with a calm dog or a dog-savvy cat.  He's excited to settle into his forever home so if you think he'd be a good fit, visit him soon!

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Cricket has been at A.D.O.P.T. since March, 2011 and is about 3 years old.  He is a handsome brown/tabby mix with very explicit markings.  Being involved is his motto.  He would be at your side when you want him and not there when you don't.  Come check him out. He is very affectionate and waiting for your perusal in the Sun Room.

Meet Chad. He came to A.D.O.P.T. as a rescue transfer from Kentucky.  He is a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix and about four years old.  Chad is the ultimate cuddle monster!  This bite size guy will lie in your lap as long as you allow him to.  He’s good with children as well as other dogs.  Chad is also housetrained and has good manners.

For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299.  The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville.  Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.
