Possession
- Timothy Michael Burke, 23, of the 2000 block of Central Road in Glenview, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. at the intersection of East Ogden Avenue and Wisconsin Street, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle without insurance and disobeying a traffic control signal. His bail was $2,000.
- Christopher Vasilios Karahalios, 23, of the 2300 block of Indian Ridge Drive in Glenview, was arrested at 1:18 a.m. at the intersection of 900 East Ogden Avenue and Wisconsin Street, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $120 bond.
Suspended license
- Fernando Munoz, 20, of the 800 block of Brentwood Drive in West Chicago, was arrested at 1:12 a.m. at the intersection of North Route 59 and Ferry Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and having a defective side/rear/windshield. His bail was $1,500.
- Luis Alexander Rivera, 22, of the 2100 block of Schumacher Lane, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass of a vehicle and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500.
Driving under the influence
Nicholas James Cermak, 22, of the 1300 block of Stonegate Road, was arrested 1:56 a.m. at the 1300 block of Briarwood Drive, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and with speeding. His bail was $3,000.
Warrent arrest
Patrick Martell Nash, 26, of the 100 block of South Whispering Hills Drive Circuit, was arrested on a warrant at 9:29 p.m. at his home, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail and his bail was $7,500.
Theft
- Four wheels and tires were taken off a new Mercedes Benz parked in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday, police said. The vehicle was left on jack stands.
- A woman in her 20s took five rolls of copper wire, put them in the bottom of her child’s stroller and left without paying at 12:29 p.m. before driving west in the 700 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said. The woman left the stroller and stolen merchandise behind, along with an accomplice who left on foot.
- A man was seen putting a keyboard and package of bacon behind a rubber tote in a cart at 2:07 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. The man paid for $60 worth of items and the tote, but “assisted” the cashier by lifting the tote out of the cart to be scanned and not placing the keyboard on the conveyer. The clerk didn't check the cart, reports said. The man cited a local ordinance, claiming it wasn't his fault the item wasn't paid for, according to police. No charges were filed.
Hit-and-run
A vehicle struck a deer, badly injuring it, at 7:32 p.m. at the intersection of Royce Road and Lindenwood Lane, police said. The deer was put down due to the severity of the injuries.
Suspicious circumstances
A 51-year-old female reported that she saw footprints in the snow of her backyard in the first block of Townsend Circuit after letting her dog go to the bathroom outside at 4 a.m., police said.
