Grumpy Gaucho

Since you've burned off so many calories, the brand new Grumpy Gaucho carryout restaurant may be a great place to refuel. It offers traditional Argentinean fare, including empanadas, sandwiches de miga and more.

Owner Nestor Fortini said he was able to raise money to start Grumpy Gaucho's thanks to a local farmers' market.

“I began raising money to start my business by selling our signature homemade sauces at the Plainfield Farmer’s Market this past summer," Fortini said in a release. "We often sold out of our Argentine chimichurri, pesto, provenzal and cilantro jalapeno pesto with lime. Needless to say, I was pleased with the demand, as we had many repeat customers.”

According to Fortini, all food is made-to-order, so customers are encouraged to phone ahead.
