Police Blotter: 3 Men Face Drug Charges After Someone Smells Marijuana

Naperville Police Department reports.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

No driver's license

Mario Perez, 24, of the 6000 block of Cedar Lane in Westmont, was arrested at 10:29 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Ogden Avenue, Naperville Police Department said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance and no driver’s license. His bail was $2,000.

    Fighting

    Patrick Steven Caruso, 54, of the 100 block of South Stauffer Drive, was arrested at 6:26 p.m. near West Benton Street and Main Street, police said. He was charged with fighting and criminal damage to a vehicle. His bond was $120.

    Possession of cannabis

    • Police said three men were arrested at 4:39 p.m. after someone reported smelling marijuana coming from a room in the 100 block of East Chicago Avenue. Jonathan D. Adkins, 20, of the 800 block of Hoyle Road in Lombard; Jacob Hogan Steele, 20, of the 1000 block of 28th Street in Peru; and Nicholas Charles Smith, 20, of the 1900 block of Henley Street in Glenview, were each charged with possession of cannabis, with bond set at $120.
    • Two men face drug charges after being arrested at 11:42 p.m. near South Route 59 and 83rd Street, police said. Martin Michael Dzik, 22, of the 14000 block of South Provencal Drive in Homer Glen, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. Nicholas Raymond Wenc, 22, of the 1500 block of Schumacher Drive in Bolingbrook, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $120 for each man.

    Pump and run

    Someone pumped 10.6 gallons of unleaded gas valued at $39.27 and drove off in the 1500 block of North Aurora Road, police said. 

    Stolen purse

    A purse was stolen from an unlocked locker in the 800 block of Washington Street, police said.

    Lost cats 

    • A lost cat from Lisle was reported to the Naperville Police Department.
    • A lost cat from Aurora was reported to the Naperville Police Department.
