The Naperville Police Department is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for an attempted residential burglary earlier this week.
According to reports, the resident of a home in the area of Rock River Court and Washington Street left his home around 6 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes Sunday, Sept. 9. When the resident returned to his home he observed a man on the rear patio of the house. When he realized he was seen, the unknown individual ran away, according to reports. He was last seen running westbound from the residence toward Washington Street.
Upon inspection the resident discovered a window screen was removed from window at the rear of the house.
The offender is described as a male, unknown race, tall and dressed in black clothing.
